Sales Tax and Exemptions

social_share

Purchases picked up in Massachusetts or shipped to Florida, New York, or Maine are subject to sales tax at the current rate for that location. It is Skinner’s responsibility to collect any applicable sales tax due. Certain dealers, museums, and other qualifying parties may be exempt from sales tax by submitting proper documentation to Skinner. Purchases shipped by a Motor Carrier (MC/DOT) to a buyer’s out of state address not in a location listed above, may be exempt from sales tax, however, the buyer may be subject to and responsible for the payment of use tax in that jurisdiction.  View a list of shipping firms.

If you have any questions about the sales tax, please contact the Accounts Receivable department before making a purchase.
