MARLBOROUGH, Mass. –December 1, 2011 –Skinner, Inc. will host a Discovery auction on December 14th and 15th in its Marlborough gallery. The two-day sale features silver and jewelry, textiles and couture, as well as furniture and decorative arts. Included are beautiful sets of stemware, decanters, and Steuben glass, Victorian furniture, and a collection of jewelry ranging from classic pieces of gold, silver and precious stone, to costume and designer works by Georg Jensen and Yves Saint-Laurent. Also on offer will be a number of silk beaded dresses from the 1920s.
