Internationally Renowned Auction House Opens Regional Office in the Big Apple

BOSTON, MA – May 12, 2015 Skinner, Inc., auctioneers and appraisers of objects of value, is pleased to announce the opening of its regional office in New York City. Serving as a base for both longstanding and new clients in the tri-state area, the office will provide convenient access to the full range of Skinner consignment and appraisal services, as well as the auction house’s esteemed staff of experts.

Karen Keane, CEO of Skinner, Inc., observed, “Establishing a base of operations in New York was a natural step for Skinner. Given our proximity to the city and the number of clients we serve there, our specialists are already highly familiar with the market. The expansion is a means to grow this already robust infrastructure, while also widening our reach to new customers, institutions, and collectors.”

At the helm of the new office will be Skinner Vice President and Director of Fine Jewelry, Victoria Bratberg. A Graduate Gemologist with nearly 13 years of experience in the auction and antique jewelry market, eight of those in New York, Victoria brings a keen eye and a wealth of appraisal and customer relations experience to her role.

Victoria will be supported by Skinner’s diverse roster of experts across all specialty areas. A fully operational extension of Skinner’s Boston gallery, the new branch provides New Yorkers and the greater metropolitan area access to all consignment and appraisal services for individual pieces and collections, large and small.

The New York City branch is conveniently located in Midtown Manhattan, at 415 Madison Avenue. I come to New York occasionally and could possibly bring them in to be examined.
    Thanks, Winslow “Jay” Parker
