BOSTON, Mass. – January 8, 2015 –Stock your liquor shelves for the new year or add to a collection – from the convenience of home – during Skinner, Inc.’s first-ever auction dedicated to Whisky, Spirits & Ales. The online-only sale will begin on January 13, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. ET and conclude on January 22, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. ET. Featuring nearly 300 lots of whisky, cognac, bourbon, ales, vintage rums, gins and more, with many items at accessible price points, this auction has something for every collector or enthusiast.

Whisky & Spirits
Responding to rising interest, Skinner will offer close to a dozen lots of Pappy Van Winkle – ranging from 10 year to 23 year bourbon. Another desirable item comes from the now-closed Karuizawa Distillery in Japan: a 13-year Karuizawa Noh Whisky. An assortment of Old Overholt whiskies offers buyers the opportunity to taste across the eras, including bottles of medicinal Prohibition-era variations.
Highly sought-after cognacs such as Remy Martin’s Louis XIII and Courvoisier ‘Erte’ Cognac, Nos. 1-8, will be represented in this auction, as well as select armagnacs. Other popular items include Irish and Scottish whisky brands such as Macallan, Jameson, and Midleton.
With this auction’s substantial offerings, Skinner will afford buyers the chance to discover bourbons, ryes, rums and gins for every palate.
Desirable beer offerings from well-known brews to limited edition selections comprise a strong section of fine ales.
A single lot of Pappy Van Winkle barrel-aged beer will be on the auction block, sure to excite both whisky and beer aficionados. New to the block at Skinner are two lots of the Belgian-brewed Fantome. Additional highlights include a selection of Cantillon ales, in addition to a complete set ofDrie Fonteinen Armand’4 oude Geuze, representing winter, fall, spring and summer, the limited edition No. 25 of 1,500.
Rounding out the variety of available brews are Drie Fonteinen’s Millennium Gueze and Samuel Adams’ Millennium.
