Skinner Appoints Fine Spirits Consultant Joseph Hyman

BOSTON, MA – September 3, 2014 – Skinner, Inc. is pleased to announce the hire of Joseph Hyman as a consultant for the auction house’s expanding fine spirits category.

As the first brick and mortar auction house to offer exceptional beers at auction, Skinner is looking forward to forging a parallel path as the auction house of choice for consignors and collectors of fine spirits, with the addition of Mr. Hyman.

Joseph HymanHyman, a resident of Boston, comes to Skinner with over 15 years of experience as a whisky consultant, including more than two years as head of Whisky & Rare Spirits at Bonhams New York. A leading authority in the field, he has curated a number of successful auctions featuring a variety of superior offerings, from unusual American bourbons, to notable decades-old scotches, to rare Cuban rums, exotic gins and more.

Hyman’s diverse experience also includes several years as an investment analyst and portfolio manager, lending a unique perspective to his work at Skinner.
