Tuesday, February 6 | 1:30PM – 4PM
Skinner experts will provide complimentary verbal auction evaluations during our monthly consignment event on the first Tuesday of each month.
Experts Available in January:
Robin S.R. Starr and Michelle Lamunière from American & European Works of Art will be on-hand to evaluate paintings, prints, sculpture, and photography for Skinner’s 2018 auctions. They are looking forward to seeing examples by listed, sought-after artists, as well as iconic works of fine art photography from the 19th through 21st centuries, with market interest over $1000, and note that in the current market, Post-War and Contemporary is particularly strong.
A generalist, with a focus on American Furniture & Decorative Arts, Christopher D. Fox will be evaluating folk art, ceramics, glass, early metalwork, silver, and furniture. He has a strong interest in Historic Arts & Militaria and looks forward to seeing items in this fast-growing Skinner area of specialization.
The region’s history of trade with China in the 18th & 19th century and Japan in the late 19th century have led to local auction finds for desirable examples. Judith Dowling, Director of Asian Works of Art will be seeking Ceramics, metalware, and paintings from China, Japan, and South East Asia for spring auctions.
