Art. Action. Auction.
In Celebration of 30 Years of Artists For Humanity

Marlborough & Boston, MA – July 22 to August 3rd – Skinner, Auctioneers & Appraisers, has joined with Boston-based Artists For Humanity to raise money and awareness to support underrepresented, young, working artists. In response to the Black Lives Matter movement, this employee-fueled mission supports more diversity in the arts and arts businesses to build a stronger network for black, indigenous, and people of color in the arts industry. Skinner has committed to match up to $25K in auction sales for AFH, celebrating their 30 years of challenging convention and making a bold and equitable impact in the artistic world, and plan to continue the organizations’ relationship through future auctions, internships, event series, and sponsorships.
Auction Highlights
The diverse donations on offer will include artwork, objects, and services given or made by Skinner employees, friends of Skinner, generous members and supporters of AFH, and AFH alumni. Many of the Skinner-donated items signify the contributor’s path in the arts and auction worlds. Highlights include fine woodworking, paintings, prints, and photography, studio pottery, and Modernist and Victorian jewelry. Other items include a Wedgwood abolitionist medallion, a quilt by artist Clara Wainwright, and a Bob Tomolillo engraving of the original Boston Massacre print reimagined to include Crispus Attucks, made exclusively with Artists For Humanity (above).
If you are interested in donating, we would love your support!
