Skinner welcomed Phillip Thomas, Founder and Principal of Phillip Thomas Inc., a New York-based design firm, for a behind-the-scenes look into the warehouse to view furniture, objects, and works of art. Phillip created “get the look” interior vignettes with pieces from our June 20th Century Design auction.

“Dining rooms are so often under-utilized spaces for an individual to tell their story and share their passions. I enjoy incorporating beautiful collections into my clients’ dining rooms.”

“The at-home bar has been making a comeback over the last few years in my designs. Make it glamorous by filling it with beautiful functional pieces of crystal and silver that sparkle, and mix in some sculptural objects of interest. Don’t forget great stools that are both comfortable and conversation pieces.”

“A well-appointed corner of a home is the perfect spot to read and decompress from the work-from-home environment. Make it practical but also aesthetically pleasing.”

“In contemporary open-plan living, it is important that one has a table and chairs that are functional but also pleasing to the eye I also think it is important to accessorize with conversation pieces when the table is not being used.”
