Who are we?

The #Protect your caregiver group is a multidisciplinary team of art professionals, collectors, doctors, medical teachers, entrepreneurs, artists and committed citizens whose mission is to help and support the caregivers who fight Covid-19 on a daily basis. Its auction is carried out in close collaboration with BMC hospital teams.

Boston Medical Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and all purchases/donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

How do I learn more about the artists included in the auction.

See links to artists biographies at the bottom of this web page. 

How do I bid in the auction? 

Step 1: Create an account by clicking the register link in the upper right hand corner of the website to get started. You will receive an automated email confirming your request. Once a staff member has reviewed and created your account you will receive a second email confirming bidding privileges. 

Step 2: Sign-up for the auction from the “log in to bid” button next to an an item that interests you. Enter your email and password. While your status is “pending”, please browse the auction and add lots to your “watchlist.” 

Step 3: Bid! Place the asking bid, or even a maximum bid amount. The system will automatically bid for you using standard increments up to this amount. When the high bid is with you, you will see an onscreen message and receive an email confirmation. If you are outbid, you will receive an email notification to bid again. 

What should I know about online auctions? 

The auction will begin to close at 7pm on May 18.  Each lot has an individual closing time, and any bids left within 5 minutes of the set-time will add an additional 5 minutes to the bid clock to discourage sniping. 

The auction is over — what happens next?

Successful winning bidders will be notified on May 18. The buyers will then be be put into contact to directly pay at the Boston Medical Center ProtectYourCaregiver fundraising page: www.development.bmc.org/protect-your-caregiver-art-auction

The buyer has 10 days to pay – Until 28th of May at noon. The Protectyourcaregiver team will coordinate between the buyer and the consignor. The shipment is the responsibility of the buyer.
