Fresh to Market: Two Sargent Watercolors in Context | May 8
The Fine Paintings & Sculpture auction covers a broad range of styles, mediums, and regions spanning the 15th century to the present day including old masters ascribed to School of Frans Francken II and School of Ambrosius Benson, drawings ascribed to Eugène Delacroix and Rosa Bonheur, and an oil by Jean-Baptist Camille Corot. The sale features 19th and early 20th century American works by John Singer Sargent, Charles Burchfield, Martin Johnson Heade, Edmund Tarbell, and a selection of bronzes by Harry Jackson. Modern and Contemporary works include a still life descended in the family of the artist Franz Sedlacek, as well as works by Stuart Davis, George L.K. Morris, Jim Shaw, and Tomás Sánchez.
