Brass Sleeve Button Mold, possibly Massachusetts, mid-18th century, the mold with five cavities for casting round and octagonal sleeve buttons each with engraved floral/foliate decoration, the bottom plate of the mold engraved on the exterior "E MARTIN Rehoboth," lg 5 5/8 in.
Note: According to genealogical information accompanying the mold, E. Martin may be Ebenezer Martin of Rehoboth who served in the First Massachusetts Regiment in 1781.
