Description:
Brass Fobes Little Spoon Mold, third quarter of the 18th century, for casting a Hanoverian pattern spoon, the bottom mold engraved in the handle "Fobes Little," lg. 8 1/8 in.
Note: Fobes Little (March 9, 1712-May 1801) was born in Marshfield, Massachusetts, to John Little and Constant Fobes. He married Sarah Baker on 30 November 1733, in Newbury, Massachusetts and graduated from Harvard College in 1734. He died in Little Compton, Newport, Rhode Island, and is buried in Old Commons Burial Ground, Little Compton, Rhode Island.
Fobes Little also had a son name Fobes (b. 1736). It is unclear which Fobes Little the mold belonged to.
