Small Coin Silver Porringer, Paul Revere, Sr., Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1730, the round body with slightly flaring rim, marked on the inside with Revere's mark, the underside engraved "D. Mason," pierced handle engraved "DM," bowl dia. 3 3/4, wd. 6 1/8 in., approx. 4.5 troy oz.
Provenance: Purchased by Mrs. David M. Little, Sr., from George Gebelien, c. 1938; from her estate to Bertram K. Little February 1946.
Note: According a note from F.C. Little, the porringer was made for David Mason, c. 1726-30.
