Staffordshire Transfer Decorated Historical Blue "Battle of Bunker Hill" Pierced Bowl and Undertray, Ralph Stevenson, Cobridge, England, c. 1823, the bowl with shaped and pierced rim and battle scene inside, the exterior with castle decoration, the undertray also with shaped and pierced rim and battle scene, both pieces with printed title on the underside, bowl wd 10, undertray wd. 10 5/8 in.

The bowl has an "L" shaped crack in one side, with each like extending approximately one inch, possibly the result of a flaw when the bowl was formed. There are some areas lacking glaze to the upper side of the rim on the tray.
