Creamware Transfer Decorated "Success to the Crooked but interesting Town of Boston" Jug, England, late 18th century, with red transfer printed "Success to the Crooked..." inscription within a wreath on one side and twenty-one lines of red transfer printed verse within a wreath on the other side, the top and bottom of the jug with narrow red band, applied handle with small spot of red enamel at the top, (hairline crack and chips),ht. 6 1/2 in.
