Oil on canvas, 17 1/2 x 14 in. (44.5 x 35.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Patch reinforcements, weakened or torn tacking edges with losses to the canvas along the top edge, retouch, craquelure, surface grime.
Provenance: The collection of Lilian Armstrong, art historian, and Peter Fergusson, architectural historian, both Wellesley College faculty chairs, purchased from Bonhams, London, in 1967.

Framed dimensions are 21 3/8 x 17 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches.
The tacking edges are torn along the edge of the stretcher, and the painting has been secured with black tape around the outside edge of the stretcher. Reverse of the canvas has been painted black and stabilized with an uneven coating of wax. Unidentified chalk marking on the back of the stretcher.
