After Frederic Remington (American, 1861-1909)
Coming Through the Rye, a later casting. Inscribed "Frederic Remington" and stamped "11/100" in the bronze base, no visible foundry mark. Bronze with brown patina, height 22 1/4 in. (56.0 cm) from the bottom of the bronze base to the top of the tallest rider's hat, bronze base approximately 25 x 16 3/4 x 2 in., on a marble plinth.
Condition: Dust and dirt to interstices, areas of wear to the patina. No visible damage or major scratches.
Note: The statue, made of bronze and marble, is very heavy.
Estimate $1,000-3,000
Artist and title identified on a presentation plaque affixed to the marble plinth.
Height 28 inches to the top of the highest pistol barrel.
