John Steuart Curry (American, 1897-1946)
Prize Stallions, 1938, edition of 250, published by Associated American Artists, New York (Czestochowski, C-32). Signed "John Steuart Curry" l.r. in pencil, titled l.l., initialed and dated within the matrix l.l. Lithograph on paper, image 12 3/4 x 8 3/4 in. (32.4 x 22.2 cm),framed.
Condition: Not examined out of frame.

Out of the frame the sheet is a watermarked Rives wove paper, measuring 16 x 11 3/4 in., with deckled edges. There is a 1 inch diagonal tear to the right margin near the signature - it is well outside of the image and the signature. There are scattered, pale fox marks which are more visible on the verso. The verso also has pencil annotations and old hinge residue near the upper corners. Frame dimensions 21 3/4 x 17 in.
