Unsigned, artist identified on a loan label from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, listing Mrs. Vinton as lender.
Oil on canvas, 21 3/4 x 26 5/8 in. (55.3 x 68.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Small puncture with paint loss to lower right, craquelure, minor surface grime.

N.B. The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, kindly confirmed that this painting was loaned by Mrs. Frederic P. Vinton for the period of November 2, 1911-January 5, 1912, with the title Pool near Paradise Newport. The loan card did not specify the purpose of the loan. However, a review of the catalog for the Memorial Exhibition of the Works of Frederic Porter Vinton found the painting listed as number 93, under the heading of "Canvases Lent by Mrs. Vinton."
