Thomas Waterman Wood (American, 1823-1903)
Two Works: An Old Gent Standing and Old Gent with His Hand Out
Signed and dated "T.W. Wood/1875" lower left and lower right, respectively.
Watercolor and gouache on paper/paperboard mounted to stretchers, sight sizes 13 1/2 x 9 1/2 in. (34.5 x 24.2 cm),in matching frames.
Condition: Pale staining to the backgrounds, Gent Standing with abrasion to upper left corner, not examined out of frames.
Estimate $4,000-6,000
Framed dimensions are 26 3/4 x 22 5/8 x 1 3/4 inches.
One of the frames was opened, but the back of the work could not be examined because the mat was glued to the stretcher, so the layers could not be separated.
