Northwest Persian or South Caucasian rug Iran, c. 18th century, multi-colored lozenges on a light red field surrounded by a deep yellow border and a dark blue inner border, 5 ft. 3 in. x 8 ft. 3 in.
Note: A difficult rug to characterize, the carpet could within what is now known as the "Golden Triangle'' group. Literature: Hali, no 109, London 2020.
