Two Short-shanked "Dutch" Socket Bayonets, mid-18th century, the sockets with two-step slots, curved shank, and hexagonal blades, one socket engraved "No 1164", the other with shortened socket and with brazed seam, socket lg. to 2 3/4, blade lg. 12 in.

Bayonet marked "No 1164" overall brown patination and lightly pitted surface; bayonet with shortened socket has overall brown patination and fine notching along the forward 5 1/4 inches of the blade on one edge.
