British Infantry Hanger, mid-18th century, iron heart-shaped counter-guard with a quillon, iron knuckle bow connecting to a tall bulbous pommel, carved wood grip lacking the wire wrapping; curved single edge blade with false edge at the tip and single narrow fuller, blade lg. 24 5/8, overall lg. 31 in.
