British Officer's Sword with Scabbard, c. 1770-80, Iron hilt with delicate slotted counter-guard, reeded tapering knuckle bow and tall olive-shaped pommel with decorative capstan, spiral carved horn grip with silver ribbon wrapping; straight double-edge colichemarde blade with etched floral scroll decoration near the hilt; black leather scabbard with tooled front, iron hook and iron tip; blade lg. 30 7/8, overall lg. 37in.

Hilt toned gray/brown with minor underlying pitting, hilt has slight movement on the blade tang; blade has areas of gray mottling and minor underlying pitting, tip is blunt; scabbard shows wear on the edges, iron is toned to brown and the throat is missing.
