Small British Leather Covered Document Box, c. 1750, dome-top box covered with brown leather with tooled floral decoration, iron lock, hasp and handle; the interior with original English newspaper lining including an article titled "Extract of a Letter from a Gentleman at Cape Breton, dated Louisbourg, July 10, 1746," linen tape lid brace intact, ht. 3 1/4, wd. 8, dp. 5 in.

Leather has some wear and losses at corners and edges, leather hing is intact, but fragile, the interior has a few stains.
