British Cavalry Saber, c. 1780-90, heavy iron hilt with slotted counter-guard and knuckle bow leather and iron ribbon wrapped grip with backstrap and flat pommel; curved single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and no fullers, blade lg. 35 1/2, overall lg. 41 in.

Hilt is tight and has areas of gray/brown toning and surface oxidation; blade is generally bright with small spots of toning and a few small edge nicks, tip is blunt.
