Description:
Five Hatchet/Ax Heads, 18th century, including a boarding ax head with a crown over indistinct letters marked on the blade; two spiked hatchets/tomahawk heads; a miniature halberd with diamond point, curved blade; and a pipe tomahawk with a large bowl; wd. to 9 1/4 in.
Note: One of the spiked hatchets/tomahawks has a note indicating that it was found "on the bank of the Concord River" in 1920, Concord, Massachusetts.
Estimate $500-700
The boarding ax, pipe tomahawk head, and Concord ax are in archeological condition and have pitted surfaces, the others have minor pitting.
