Two Early Shot Molds, American, 18th century, an unmarked brass four-cavity step-down mold casting shot from approx. .69 to .50 caliber; and an iron single-cavity mold casting a ball of approx. .56 caliber with file decoration at the top, lg. to 6 3/8 in.

The brass mold has scattered surface dings and dents, but closes securely; the iron mold has overall brown surface patination and closes securely.
