Courret Hermanos (Peruvian, active 1863-1873)
Recuerdos del Peru, c. 1868. Titled with studio credit "Courret Hermanos, Lima" in gilt on the front cover and titled in gilt on the spine. Album containing approximately 86 albumen prints on 50 pages, photographs up to 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 in. (16.5 x 21.6) or reverse, mounted one-, two-, or four-per page on two-tone card mounts.
Condition: Wear to album covers along edges and corners, minor darkening to album mounts along edges, minor fading to photographs, given age the album is in excellent condition.
N.B. Album contains views in and around Lima and portraits of unknown sitters.

Many of the views are street scenes and panoramas of the cathedral's exterior. The portraits are primarily of women, although several larger group portraits include men. Album dimensions 12 1/4 x 16 3/4 x 2 in.
