Paysage au coq, 1958, edition of 100 (outside of the large edition for Derrière le Miroir),published by Maeght Editeur, Paris (Mourlot, 208; Cramer Books, 36). Signed "Marc Chagall" in pencil l.r., numbered "35/100" in pencil l.l. Color lithograph on paper, image size 15 3/8 x 22 in. (39.1 x 55.9 cm),framed.
Condition: Full sheet with all but the upper edge deckled, gentle toning to edges of sheet, floated within the frame, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $2,000-3,000
Out of the frame the sheet measures 19 1/8 x 26 in., and has an Arches watermark. The work was held in place by two small hinges near the upper corners. Both have detached from the back of the sheet, leaving tiny thinned spots where they released from the work.
