Four Staffordshire Pottery Toby Jugs, England, 19th century, each polychrome decorated in overglaze enamels, a Night Watchman, ht. 9; Dr. Johnson, ht. 6 3/4; a standard model, ht. 9 5/8; and a raspberry coat model with spatter base, ht. 7 3/8 in.
Estimate $400-600
Night Watchman: Extensive enamel flaking; restored spout.
Dr. Johnson: Enamel wear along edge of hat brim; restored shoulder to right arm.
Standard: Restoration and small chip to hat brim; some enamel flaking to shoes.
Raspberry coat: In very good condition throughout.
