Seated Figure of Lorenzo di Piero de Medicis, After Michelangelo
Inscribed "F. BARBEDIENNE./FONDEUR." on the side of the pedestal, with the "Reduction Mechanique" seal on the lower back edge of the pedestal.
A. Collas Reduction Mechanique bronze with brown patina, height 18 1/4 in. (46.5 cm).
Condition: Some wear to the patina, areas of oxidation, dust and dirt to the interstices.
N.B. A Grand Tour bronze after Michelangelo's portrait of Lorenzo di Piero de Medici (1492-1519),from the Medici tomb, Florence.
