Early English Broadsword, late 17th century, steel basket hilt with wide openwork and small panels, domed pommel, wood grip and leather liner, on a straight single-edge blade with two narrow fullers on each side stamped "ANDRIA/FARARA," blade lg. 32 7/8, overall lg. 38 3/8 in.

Overall deep brown patina, the blade with very fine underlying pitting, blade tip chipped; the hilt with moderate underlying pitting.
