British Heavy Cavalry Saber, c. 1780, steel double-branch hilt with pierced counter guard and tall olive-shaped pommel, leather-wrapped grip, on a straight single-edge blade with one narrow and one wide fuller and false edge tip, blade lg. 35 7/8, overall lg. 42 1/4 in.
