Silver Hilted Hanger, England/Europe, third quarter 18th century, unmarked silver hilt elaborately pierced, chased, and engraved oval guard with openwork scrolling floral decoration, double silver chain knuckle bow, finely chased and engraved lion's head pommel and green dyed spiral-carved ivory grip; curved single-edge blade with false edge at tip, one wide and one narrow fuller, each side etched with crescent moon, sunburst, star and floral motifs, blade lg. 26, overall lg. 31 1/2 in.

Hilt tarnished, grip is slightly loose and has a couple very small chips at the top end; blade is bright with scattered small spots of gray/brown toning.
