English Silver Hilt Small Sword, London, c. 1723, silver hilt, thin bilobate counter guard with recessed panels, knuckle bow with bulbous quillon and thin pas d'ane rings, bulbous pommel, silver wire-wrapped grip, hallmarks at the top of the knuckle bow include date letter "H," sterling and town mark for London, and silversmith's mark of a star over "IC" in a sunken cartouche; triangular colichemarde blade with deep "V" fuller on top, high median ridge on the bottom and upper portion of the blade with etched rococo knot and floral devices; blade lg. 31 7/8, overall lg. 38 1/4 in.

Silver tarnished, wire wrapping and grip are tight; blade is bright subtle gray patina and wear to the etched decoration.
