Joshua Wilder Dwarf Clock, Hingham, Massachusetts, c. 1825, case attributed to Abiel White, bell-top stained pine case with original gilt finial atop the step-molded and shaped splat crest, freestanding turned columns flanking the painted roman numeral dial with shield and raised gilt decorated spandrels, and reads "Joshua Wilder Hingham" in the arch, molded edge waist door, full-length hinged backboard, all resting on simple bracket feet, eight-day time and passing-strike brass movement, regulated by a brass-faced pendulum, and cast iron rectangular weight, ht. 46 in.

old refinish, bell top or crest original, feet original, bottom board most likely old replacement. Dial with some paint loss, brass reinforcement brackets on interior.
