Turned Oak Side Chair, probably Massachusetts, late 17th century, the turned finials continuing to stiles joined by a spindle back, on rush seat, turned legs, and base of vase- and ring-turned double stretchers, (old insect damage and cracks to legs),ht. 43 1/2, seat ht. 18 in.

old insect evidence to spindles and legs, cracks to rear legs, flattened along front edges of front legs. there do not appear to be any significant restorations, alterations, or repairs.
