Silver Communion Cup, Zachariah Brigden, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1785, with flaring rim on a flaring molded base, the front engraved "The Gift of/Col. John Pitkin/to the Church of the/3d Sociy Hartford," marked "Z.Brigden" in a sunken cartouche below the rim and "ZB" in a sunken cartouche on the base, ht. 5 7/8 in., approx. 8.3 troy oz.
