Carved Cherry Swell-front Chest of Drawers, school of Nathan Lumbard, central Massachusetts, c. 1805-15, the serpentine top above four cockbeaded graduated bombe-form drawers, flanked by conformingly shaped inlaid corners, set on a molded base of flaring French feet, replaced brass, refinished, ht. 33, wd. 41 1/2, dp. 21 in.
Provenance: Purchased by the present owner from Thomas Schwenke, Inc., Woodbury, Connecticut, 2006.
