World War I-era United States Navy Air Force Footlocker, early 20th century, the lid emblazoned with "U.S. NAVY" above the star within blue circle logo, flanked by pen and ink cartoons relating to navy life, the sides lettered "U.S.N." and "W.E. Greene/23 Pearl St./New Haven/Conn," the bottom with another naval logo and flanked by more cartoons, one dated "November 11, 1918" (Armistice Day) and showing a sailor stabbing a sausage with an American flag, lettered "Good Bye/Wienie [sic]," all above the date "3-19-18," ht. 6, wd. 26, dp. 12 1/2 in.
