Two Whimsical Drawings of Alien Creatures. Each signed and dated "Donald H. Menzel/'65" l.r. Ink and watercolor on paper, sight sizes to 16 3/8 x 13 3/8 in., framed. Condition: Minor toning, one with pale staining to l.r. corner, not examined out of frames.

N.B. Donald Howard Menzel was one of the first theoretical astronomers and astrophysicists in the United States. Dr. Menzel was also a science fiction author and an artist, creating watercolor paintings of alien creatures and scenes.
