Wingaersheek Dunes, Annisquam. Signed "Henry Davenport" l.r., identified on a label from Doll & Richards, Boston, affixed to the frame backing paper. Pastel on paper, sight size 13 x 10 in., framed. Condition: Rippling, vertical cut or seam to the paper along the right side located 2 1/4-in. in from the right edge, not examined out of frame.

Frame with a contemporary label from Ross Wetzel Studios, Inc., Wilmette, Illinois, dated 3/2/06, affixed to the backing paper.

The Doll & Richards label was cut from an older frame backing and reattached to the new frame backing. The label bears the address of 140 Newbury Street. The firm first moved to Newbury Street in 1908. The label has a the work number "B 12474" which suggests that the pastel was on their premises sometime between March 13 and December 30, 1961.
