Description:
Lalique Les Causeuses Wall Mirror, France, c. 2004, frosted and clear glass, mirrored glass, chromed metal, inscribed "Lalique France," ht. 36, wd. 19 1/2, dp. 1 in.
Note: The Causeuses panels created in 1991 by Marie-Claude Lalique are a tribute to one of the main inspirations of René Lalique: the woman. Genuine odes to the femininity, this frieze of languorous young women sculpted in satin crystal, are enshrouded with light. Their graceful softness figures are enhanced by the purity of the crystal. The satin finished crystal recalls the fineness of the skin texture while the light effects give life and movement to the piece. - (www.Lalique.com)
