Watercolor on illustration board, sheet size 30 x 25 1/8 in. (76.3 x 64.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Small puncture to u.c., toning, acid burn, water staining or similar, scattered minor abrasions, accretions and glue staining to the perimeter of the recto, faint pencil line around the perimeter of the recto, staining to the reverse from former wood backing board (now replaced),support with loss to u.r. corner and various losses and nicks to the edges.

Framed dimensions are 39 x 32 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches.
The puncture is located in the white phlox blossoms in the upper center, 6 1/2 inches down from the center top. It is also visible from the reverse. Throughout the background on the left side there is white pigment which may have been applied to mitigate the appearance of the staining. The illustration board is irregularly cut and is missing a triangular piece, about 2 x 2 x 3 1/2 inches, from the upper right corner.
