Signed and dated "HAGBORG/PARIS 1882" l.l., identified on a label from Kurt E. Schon, Ltd., Vienna and New Orleans, affixed to the reverse.
Oil on panel, 26 3/4 x 37 3/4 in. (67.5 x 96.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Vertical drips of foreign material to center and lower right quadrants, small loss (1/8 in.) to u.l. corner, very fine craquelure.
Provenance: Collection of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Boston.

Framed dimensions are 31 1/2 x 43 x 2 1/4 in.
There are about a dozen of the vertical drips mentioned above. The substance is not identified, but resembles varnish. There is an area of retouch to l.l. corner which, judging from its location, may cover an old inscription or second signature.
