Signed and dated "ALBERT-H-ATKINS/M-C-M-X-V" in the bronze base, titled on the front of the base, stamped "GORHAMCO, FOUNDERS QABW" along the back edge of the base.
Bronze with black patina, height to the top of the bow 13 1/2 in. (34.3 cm).
Condition: Minor wear to the patina at the left knee, dust and dirt overall.
Provenance: Purchased by Miss Fanny Dudley in 1924 at a benefit auction for the North Shore Arts Association in Gloucester, Massachusetts; purchased from Fanny Dudley auction in 1966 by the family of the consignor, thence by family descent.
