Illustration of a Man in a Red Shirt, Holding a Pipe. Unsigned, inscribed "Otto Freund" on the reverse. Watercolor and gouache on Whatman drawing board, image size 21 3/4 x 17 in., unframed. Condition: Brown paper tape around the perimeter of the recto, subtle toning, reverse of the board with surface losses and wear.

N.B. According to a previous owner, Otto Freund was employed by the Arrow Shirt Company. It has been surmised that this illustration might have been intended as an advertising piece.
