Pair of Olmec Jade Plaque Pendants, Mexico, c. 1000 BC, matching pair of medium grayish green slab plaque pendants, each carved with a highly stylized zoomorphic head, having a squared snout and open toothy mouth, with a small carved perforation at the rear of each mouth, a drilled suspension hole at the back of each head, (repairs to breaks),mounted on metal bases, lg. 2 7/8, ht. 2 1/2 each.
