Two Batak SingaArchitectural Elements, North Sumatra, Indonesia, carved from hardwood, positioned at the end of house beams, representing a mythological creature with aspects of the water buffalo, horse and snake, ht. 25 1/2 and 23 1/2 in.
Provenance: Collected in-situ in the early 1980s; Private collection, San Francisco, California.
